Detailed Information

The historic Babcock Building was purchased in October of 2008 by Babcock LLC members Kim and Don Olsen, Kay Foster and Mike Mathew. The two-story building covers one-quarter of a city block in the center of downtown Billings, Montana. Built in 1907 it houses a 750 seat theater, 14 second story apartments, and main floor retail spaces.

The building has had only three owners in 109 years and has undergone extensive internal and external restoration.  The building is now on the National Register of Historic Places.

The theater, under management by the Art House Cinema, is showing film 7 days a week and is available to rent for live performances, film, weddings, parties and more.  Residents have filled the second floor of the building, and a restored facade and storefronts have welcomed new retail tenants. Longtime tenants Montague’s Jewelers and Rock Creek Roasters continue to offer excellent products and service!  Belle en Blanc, Billings premier bridal boutique, is located at 114 N. Broadway.

Doc Harper’s, downtown’s unique martini bar with a seasonal summer patio, serves libations of all kinds as well as an array of tasty appetizers. Rebels and Razors Barber Club, owned and operated by Addy Helland and Samantha Walker, is at 118 N. Broadway and offers fine men’s haircuts and shaves.  Montague’s Silver at 120 N. Broadway specializes in silver jewelry and gift items at affordable prices. Jimmy John’s Sandwiches, 122 N. Broadway, offers excellent freaky, fast service and downtown area delivery.
